Galileo

Gallileo

Galileo Galilei (1564-1642) was one of the most influential scientists to ever live. He was both a philosopher and a craftsman. He could both build a telescope after having it described to him and then use it. Tales of a new eyeglass were brought to him from Flanders and the Venetians asked him to try to build one. He succeeded, but then he did something no one had ever done before. He took his new eyeglass out into the garden of his home in Padua and turned it up into the night sky and saw things no human being had ever seen.
