Langue et Culture Française - Summer 2012

We are pleased to offer conversational French language instruction at the Institute. The objective of all the courses is to offer quality classes in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, providing students with an authentic approach to French culture and language. The courses will help students build and expand their vocabulary and converse in French. The teaching method will include group exercises of reading, writing and dialogs. These classes will be especially beneficial to individuals who are planning to travel to France, or those who just wish to enjoy French culture.

French Instructor at the Institute: Patricia Helleboid.

Patricia Helleboid was born and raised in Rennes, France where she attended the University of Rennes. She studied business and accounting. From 1977 to 1980 she taught French at Nazareth College, in Rochester, NY. When she returned to France she worked as a technical translator for a pharmaceutical company in the south of France. She also worked in Grenoble on a computer aided design project financed by the European Community. She moved permanently to Los Gatos, California with her husband and her two sons, Marc and Thomas, in 1988. She has taught French in California at all levels and she has studied Spanish, German, and Italian as well as English.
