Educational Development
The Institute is dedicated to providing tools and methods to local secondary school educators as they confront the challenge of teaching the Western Tradition. Our representatives will be visiting local high schools during the academic year to explain our activities and to provide materials on our courses and programs.
Scholarships
The Institute will offer scholarships to teachers during some academic years when funds are available. These scholarships will help to defray the cost of an enrollment in "The Making of the Western Mind." For information on scholarships call the Institute office (408-864-4060).
Curricula Development
We will also be developing curricular materials to aid in the teaching of the Western Tradition in high schools. In addition, we will be creating a textbook based on the course The Making of the Western Mind with a teacher's guide available.
